  • It is open to women founders in the audiovisual and technology industries
  • One winner will be chosen to win a cash prize of $15,000

The Women in AV & Tech Startup Prize is a worldwide funding initiative that helps women innovators build their companies in the audio-visual and tech realm.

This program is available to women-led or female-founded companies that are generally less than two years old. The money from one winner will be awarded to fund $15,000, helping develop their business and advance their product while validating the market.

Founders in the audio-visual and tech field developing new companies (startups) must submit their new venture to be considered.

It includes the following categories: audio-visual systems, media products, tools for working transferring information, tools for performing live, products using virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) in any form, and innovation applied to work areas. This program will consider innovations at any stage of development (idea, prototype, generating revenue).

Entries will be accepted from registered companies, unregistered companies (part of an informal team), and solo founders. Both international and domestic entrants are encouraged to apply. The organization focuses primarily on supplying funds and support to help entrepreneurs create a successful company.

The entrepreneurial ventures that will be supported are companies with a clear business plan, identifiable problems, and potential for profit.

Companies that enter this program will not be judged by the quality of the presentation, but rather upon the entrepreneur's ability to implement the idea, the entrepreneur's knowledge of the marketplace, and the company's potential for profitability.

The winner will receive $15,000 in grants, and may use these funds for one-time costs associated with establishing and building a company.
