Swarovski has appointed Ilse Roeffen as President Europe, which is a notable elevation in leadership and will enhance the Company’s global luxury position and regional growth strategy. Ilse's leadership journey has contained two notable assignments—worked as an interim Chief Commercial Officer and completed a strategic assignment supporting leadership onboarding and market alignment in Greater China. On her journey, Ilse commended the strong collaborative effort with the Commercial Leadership Team and General Managers behind this milestone.
Ilse brings over 20 years of leadership experience with SWAROVSKI, including both a distinguished global market available career and an abundant commercial strategy based career, both of which have been built through her transformation initiatives.
Prior to this role, Ilse was the Head of Emerging Markets & Businesses and spearheaded the long-term and sustainable growth of global regions (Asia, Latin America, and Middle East) while leading a team of over 2,500 professionals.
She was also responsible for being the Chief Commercial Officer (ad interim) in charge of global commercial strategy in more than 150 countries by managing the most important areas; sales, retail, marketing, digital, and omnichannel operations with the help of a global team consisting of more than 9,000 employees.
Before this, Ilse worked as the Executive Vice President of Market Management & the Senior Vice President of Omnichannel & Commercial Management, influencing the development of customer-centric strategies, digital transformations and omnichannel excellence that have strengthened Swarovski's position as a global luxury brand. Her contributions included leading global business transformation programs; building operating models to achieve organizational effectiveness at scale.
Ilse's long term experience in the luxury retail industry is evident through her extensive experience with luxury retail, international markets and customer experience transformations, which provide her with the ideal skill set to lead the European business into its next stage of growth.
