By: GWL Team | Wednesday, 18 February 2026

  • Bitget is scaling up education-related initiatives, including women-led blockchain literacy
  • The project seeks to enhance the accessibility of web3 knowledge, particularly for women and young people in less developed regions

Bitget is further expanding its education-based initiatives by promoting women-led blockchain education as part of its global inclusion initiative.

The company mentioned its Blockchain4Her initiative, which supports teachers and organizers who are trying to improve access to Web3 education, especially among women and young people in developing areas.

The initiative is based on an education-first model that aims to improve women’s engagement in the blockchain and digital asset industries, not by focusing on market-oriented activities but by building on grassroots engagement and skill-building.

In the Philippines, Bitget mentioned some of the people who are promoting blockchain education in the country, including Bea Llana, Arshelene “Tita Arsh” Lingao, and MaryWave (Wave3).

Blockchain4Her is run in tandem with Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth initiative, which has been dedicated to improving digital infrastructure and youth education in the Philippines.

In 2025, Bitget donated six Starlink internet modules to schools in Surigao del Norte, Siquijor, and Negros Oriental, benefiting over 7,300 students and 100 teachers. The initiative also involved digital readiness audits and the rollout of Web3 and digital literacy curricula.

In November 2025, Blockchain4Youth joined LALIGA’s Youth Tournament in New Clark City, conducting sports-related activities and promoting digital literacy. The tournament drew around 7,000 players and coaches.

Bitget also joined The Ascent Project, supported by the World Bank, to donate ₱100,000 worth of relief aid to 118 people affected by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Cebu in September 2025.

Bitget’s efforts are also part of its overall global education plan, including a partnership with UNICEF to increase access to digital and blockchain education for youth by 2027.

The Philippines, one of the most active crypto markets in Southeast Asia, has experienced significant retail adoption and play-to-earn gaming in the past market cycles. Education and consumer protection have become important priorities for industry participants in the Philippines.

Bitget believes that its women-focused and youth-focused initiatives are part of its long-term commitment to encourage responsible participation in digital asset markets.
