Advancing Women’s Leadership & Representation

Female leaders have brought in a new wave of change throughout the professional world enhancing effectiveness of organizations through their visionary approach, knowledge and leadership.

Strengthening leadership in healthcare, Judith Schoenmaeckers has been officially appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of European Dental Group (EDG) from August 2026. Judith has worked as COO of EDG since 2020 and has over 30 years of experience in leadership positions in the sectors of health care, telecommunications, staffing, recruitment, and dentistry.

Tracey Murphy has recently been appointed to the role of Head of People & Culture in Australia and New Zealand for Europ Assistance Australia and New Zealand (Redion). Tracey has a long history of HR leadership roles covering areas such as people strategy, talent management, organizational change, employee experience, and executive advice.

Breaking barriers in military leadership, Efrat Kaykov’s name has gone down in history books as the first female soldier in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to command a regiment in the IDF Artillery Corps’ 282nd Regiment. Efrat serves as the commander of the 213th Reserve Artillery Regiment while she had formerly worked as the deputy commander of the 282nd Regiment.

Leading the aviation space with new horizons, the San Francisco International Airport has named Eva Cheong as their new COO; a milestone that has never been achieved by any woman in the past. Eva will be responsible for overseeing operations, safety, security, facilities, guest services, AirTrain, emergency services, and the SFO Museum.

The New York State Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Law Section has appointed Nyasha Foy as its chair, making her the first African-American woman to take up the post. Nyasha will be responsible to enhance the section and offer new chances for young lawyers in leadership positions. The current roster of officers for the section consists of only women, a first in its 35 years of existence.

Women Entrepreneurs Expanding Business Opportunities

While businesses readily address global changes, women entrepreneurs are broadening their influence, developing better networks, and opening up new opportunities for expanded growth avenues.

Building on this momentum, 15th Arab Women Exhibition was inaugurated on August 31 at the Doha Exhibition & Conference Centre, hosting 200 domestic and foreign stalls. The exhibition is expected to feature about 140 Qatari women entrepreneurs along with exhibitors from other GCC and foreign countries. It will continue till September 5 under theme “Athar” (Impact) focusing on entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovations among women.

Building cross-border business opportunities, new avenues for promoting women entrepreneurs were discussed in an interactive session between Chinese Consul General Sun Yan and the Gujranwala Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry at GIFT University. The conversations stressed that institutional connections should be created between Pakistan and China to open up new avenues of knowledge transfer, market access, capacity building, and international cooperation for women entrepreneurs.

With a vision to strengthen digital growth, TikTok and Entreprenelle announced the launch of second edition of TikTok for Entrepreneurs in Egypt, featuring women founders as key beneficiaries of the program. The event saw an attendance of about 200 entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, e-commerce companies, government officials, and industry leaders. Discussions around assisting women entrepreneurs in leveraging content, storytelling, and community building to improve branding, connect with customers, and increase sales were key focus.

Third Annual Mississippi Women’s Summit saw about 1,800 women coming together at the Mississippi Coliseum and Trade Mart for two days packed with education, networking, entrepreneurship and self-improvement. Organized under the chairmanship of Mississippi’s Attorney General Lynn Fitch, the summit offered a platform for women to network.

Continuing to expand global visibility for black women, Natalia Nicholson, founder of Top 100 Most Powerful Black Women, and Zondra Evans, founder and CEO of Zondra TV Network have announced a Strategic Brand Extension aiming at improving visibility, reach, and opportunities for black women entrepreneurs and businesswomen around the world.

Recognizing Women for Inspiring & Driving Meaningful Change

In today’s modern world, women are using their voice through leadership and accomplishments to create opportunities to bring changes in their communities.

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to preside over the second Young Women for ED Convention at the Harare International Conference Centre, with more than 8,500 young women expected to attend. The event is scheduled to revolve around economic empowerment, business development, leadership, and the role of young women in the development of the nation.

For celebrating purpose beyond title, The 2018 Williamson, Inc. Women’s Leadership Conference provided an opportunity for participants to get together on August 27th at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Hotel, Franklin, to conduct discussions on career and personal development. The conference encouraged female professionals to look deeper into their stories, values, and experiences that make up their professional identity.

Warrior Women Awards by Good Hope FM is set to take place for the third time in order to celebrate the achievements of the women making a difference in their communities through their hard work and dedication in South Africa. This year’s awards will feature 10 different categories, including community service, entrepreneurship, education, health, sports, creativity, and more.

In amplifying women’s voice for change, Vital Voices Global Partnership and Diane von Furstenberg will host an event "Vital Voices Leadership Talks" on September 24, 2026, at DVF Studio, New York, in the course of UN General Assembly week. The speakers will share their insights about leadership, innovation, justice, equality, and social impact with special emphasis on the role of courageous leadership in tackling problems.

Women Shaping Innovation, Health & Sports

Expanding their impact across diverse industries, women leaders continue to create opportunities and innovation across healthcare and athletics to technology and entrepreneurship.

Takaful International with Al Salam Specialist Hospital has joined hands for an exciting Women’s Health Campaign, held from September 1st till September 30th, 2026 in Bahrain. This campaign has been organized to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Supreme Council for Women and welcomes all women, irrespective of their health insurance coverage.

For expanding women’s economic opportunities, Women’s Capital Summit is scheduled to feature a panel of impressive speakers from different sectors from sports, investments, business and media focusing on analyzing the emerging market economy in the world of women’s sports. The program will have discussions around ways to improve industry’s infrastructure, increase female ownership, and provide women entrepreneurs with more opportunities.

Consumer healthcare startup Cradlewise has received $12 million in its Series A investment round that is funded by 3one4 Capital and Prudent Investment Management. This latest round of funding has helped Cradlewise raise a total of $26 million in funding. Cradlewise uses AI technology that monitors baby’s movement, sound, sleep behavior, and several contextual cues.

Celebrating women innovators, Microvitality, headed by Zoe Watson, has been chosen as the winner of the TiE Boston Women Finals for 2026. The biotech firm’s winning innovation is an orally administered capsule that helps gather clean samples of the small intestine. Second and third places were bagged by Dottir Labs and RevivBio, headed by Nili Persits and Fatemeh "Aileen" Mastouri, respectively. The competition saw women-led ventures operating in the areas of biotech, synthetic biology, personal safety, and women’s diagnostics.
