TikTok & Entreprenelle Launches Female Founders Edition in Egypt

By: Global Woman Leader Team | Tuesday, 1 September 2026

As digital visibility increasingly shapes how customers discover and engage with brands, TikTok and Entreprenelle have launched the second edition of TikTok for Entrepreneurs in Egypt, putting women founders at the centre of the programme. Held under the patronage of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA), the Female Founders Edition took place in Cairo on August 30, 2026.

The programme brought together around 200 participants, including women entrepreneurs, startups, small and medium-sized businesses, e-commerce companies, government representatives and industry experts. The initiative focused on helping female founders use content creation, storytelling and online communities to strengthen their brands, reach new audiences and convert engagement into business opportunities.

Key Highlights:

  • TikTok and Entreprenelle brought together around 200 entrepreneurs in Egypt
  • The programme helped women founders turn content and storytelling into business growth
  • MSMEDA’s patronage strengthened institutional support for women-led SMEs

The event reflected the changing nature of brand discovery, where businesses increasingly rely on engaging content and community-building rather than traditional advertising alone. Participants explored how platforms such as TikTok can help smaller businesses enter conversations, build trust and connect directly with potential customers.

The programme opened with a discussion on Egypt’s evolving entrepreneurship ecosystem and the growing need for women-led businesses to access digital tools and knowledge. It was followed by the panel, “The New Era of Business Growth: How Discovery, Communities, and Content Are Reshaping the Way Businesses Grow”, which examined how digital discovery is changing customer journeys and brand-building.

TikTok’s SMB team also conducted a practical session, “How to Succeed on TikTok”, showing entrepreneurs how to create platform-native content, engage communities and use TikTok’s features with clear business objectives. Examples and case studies from SMEs demonstrated how businesses can use content to improve visibility and support growth.

The second panel, “Your Brand Should Talk: Building Brands Through Storytelling”, highlighted brand storytelling as a way for founders to establish distinctive identities. Speakers discussed how authentic stories can help businesses stand out, develop credibility and form stronger relationships with customers.

The final session, “From Content to Customers”, focused on converting attention into action. Women entrepreneurs from the fashion, beauty, food and services sectors shared how they use content and communities to encourage customer engagement and support sales.

Mohamed Ayesh, Head of SMB, Middle East, Turkey and Africa at TikTok, said the programme aimed to help women founders understand how content can take businesses beyond simple platform presence by connecting them with new audiences and creating opportunities for growth.

Rania Ayman, Founder and CEO of Entreprenelle, said digital visibility has become central to how businesses are discovered, trusted and developed, adding that the partnership aims to equip women entrepreneurs with the tools to remain competitive.

The collaboration combines Entreprenelle’s experience in supporting women entrepreneurs with TikTok’s expertise in content, discovery and digital engagement. Entreprenelle has worked for more than 11 years within the entrepreneurship ecosystem and, over the past five years, has focused on helping women and girls navigate the digital economy.

With MSMEDA’s patronage, the initiative also highlights growing institutional attention towards women-led businesses and SMEs in Egypt, while giving female founders practical resources to strengthen their digital presence and pursue sustainable growth.
