  • Women empowerment advocate, VicAlu, to attempt Guinness World Record
  • The event, themed “The Woman: Her Voice, Her Power,” will be centered on giving women a voice and tackling gender-related issues in Nigeria

VicAlu hosts a marathon livestream event thereby creating a new Guinness World Record. This event will be streamed to the entire planet via YouTube. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about women's issues in Nigeria and globally and amplify the voices of women.

The official name of this event is “The Woman: Her Voice, Her Power,” which will take place on March 2 at the Tigris Studio in Nigeria.

VicAlu explained, “It’s about more than just creating a world record; it’s about creating opportunities for dialogue around women’s leadership, mentorship, and inclusion within society. Every single woman has an equal voice; every single woman has an incredible story to tell.”

The marathon livestream event will be based on structured conversations, expert insights, and storytelling that meets the requirements set forth by Guinness World Record for approval.

Furthermore, the initiative aims to call together individuals in many areas to increase awareness and support for gender equity and women’s advancement, through a project that is implemented on VicAlu’s Empowerment Platform (a platform that provides mentorship and leadership development opportunities for women nationwide).

The record-breaking attempt is being done at a time when there is significant momentum from many advocacy organizations calling for a greater number of women to participate in leadership and governance, as well as in the socio-economic development of Nigeria.

The sponsors anticipate that a large number of women, professionals, gender advocates and members of the general public will turn out in support of this initiative in hopes that it will inspire more women to come forward to share their experiences and be agents of change in their communities.
