WEV Announces Appointment of 4 New Women Leaders to the Board of Directors

• Women’s Economic Ventures recent made the announcement of the addition of five new members to its Board of Directors
• Amongst the five, four of them are resilient women leaders, carrying extensive experiences

A non-profit organisation, Women’s Economic Ventures (WEV) made an announcement of the addition of five new members to its Board of Directors. These appointments represent individuals with varying recesses of talents and leadership experience, and a strong commitment to gender, racial and economic equity, enhancing WEV’s capacity to change lives and strengthen a resilient community one small business at a time.

The new board members include Stephanie Conell, Senior Director at Extend Inc; Kacey Moore, President/Founder, KM Consulting; Andria Martinez Cohen, Director, Growth America; Megan Karsh, Organizational Consultant; and Chris Hansson, Senior Relationship Manager, Pacific Premier Bank.

WEV’s CEO, Nicki Parr said, “We are excited to continue expanding the WEV Board to include this talented and engaged group of individuals. They each possess a unique set of skillsets to help guide WEV’s strategy in the coming years as we continue to meet the evolving needs of the community we serve, and their proven passion for our mission will be invaluable.”

Women’s Economic Ventures is a nonprofit that helps women achieve economic independence by providing access to entrepreneurial possibilities. WEV is a business resource network for anyone desiring to start or expand a business or develop their business and financial literacy.

WEV offers a complete menu of small business support - classes, consulting and loans - and financial literacy programs in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Although WEV Women’s Economic Ventures is for women, everyone is welcome to the WEV community. Business classes, programs and loans are offered in English and Spanish.
