WHOOP Launches Women's Health Blood Biomarker Panel

By: GWL Team | Thursday, 12 March 2026

  • WHOOP has unveiled new initiatives and clinically supported features
  • WHOOP is set to launch its Women’s Health Specialized Blood Biomarker Panel
  • This panel includes 11 female blood biomarkers for better insights

WHOOP, a human performance company, has recently made several new announcements and launches, including the upcoming Women’s Health Specialized Blood Biomarker Panel. The new panel is based on WHOOP’s Advanced Labs Baseline Panel, which was launched last year.

The new panel includes 11 female-specific blood biomarkers, which provide more in-depth data on areas often under-measured and misinterpreted in women’s health testing.

WHOOP has also launched an update to their Hormonal Symptom Insights and Predictions, as well as a comprehensive Menstrual Cycle White Paper, which goes into detail about the science behind their cycle modeling.

This is not the first time WHOOP has made significant strides in women’s health, as it has traditionally been an under-researched area in terms of data, clinical standards, and performance science.

WHOOP has seen a 150 percent increase in female WHOOP members over the last year, indicating an increased interest in women’s health and data-driven insights into hormonal changes, training responses, and long-term health outcomes.

Women are also 30 percent % more likely to engage with WHOOP’s AI than men, indicating a significant need for women’s health support.

According to Dr. Alex Vannoni, Head of Healthcare Product at WHOOP, “WHOOP’s Integrated Health Model combines a massive dataset of women’s health from across the globe to create what we call a Connected Experience - not only tracking the menstrual cycle, but also changing women’s understanding of how their body changes, as well as providing women with the tools they need to utilize that information.”

The Women’s Specialized Health Panel is one of two key components in WHOOP’s progressive testing pathway for women, which started with WHOOP Advanced Labs baseline testing and continues with the Women’s Specialized Health Panel.

The new Women’s Health Specialized Panel launching next month will include numerous biomarkers to assess cycle regulation and transition through hormonal changes (e.g., perimenopause), thyroid function, nutrients, and bone metabolism.

The following biomarkers will be measured as part of the new panel: Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH), Prolactin, Progesterone, Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPOAb), Free T4, Free T3, Leptin, Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin), Folate, Magnesium, and Phosphate (as Phosphorus).

By merging lab data gathered through the Women’s Specialized Health Panel with continuously-worn wearable metrics and through the application of Artificial Intelligence-based modeling, WHOOP allows its members to correlate their biomarkers to dynamic factors, such as recovery trends, strain tolerance, sleep hygiene, and long-term stress patterns, and to evolve traditional static laboratory results into dynamic, emergent insights.
