South Australian women entrepreneurs have an exciting leadership and developmental initiative to look forward on 18 June, 2026 through the revival of the Women in the West Summit 2026.
In conjunction with the City of Charles Sturt, Western Business Leaders will host the Women in the West Summit 2026 that aims to develop women’s leadership capabilities and visibility while instilling business confidence.
It will offer an array of benefits, from networking opportunities and insightful discussions to workshops. The free event will also provide a platform for discussion, learning, and skill acquisition for business leaders, entrepreneurs and other professionals in the business world.
Tamsin Simounds, an executive coach, entrepreneur and author, will headline the Women in the West Summit 2026 through the discussion of her soon-to-be-released book, “The Experiment Mindset,” which will be published by Wiley in 2026.
Through its leadership development programs that focus on business growth and networking opportunities, the summit aims to attract South Australian women to attend the free event designed specifically for all stages of women's business careers. Participants will benefit from a number of knowledgeable speakers, hands-on learning sessions, and professional network expansion opportunities.
Key Highlights:
By providing real-world insight on handling uncertainty and growth, Tamsin will deliver the keynote at the event by emphasizing resilience, innovation, and advancement in businesses. In her presentation, "Growth Isn't Linear and Failure Isn't Final: The Experiment Mindset for Women in Business," she will discuss the benefits of experimenting and being curious as more efficient success strategies than aiming for perfection.
A leader and innovator with twenty years' experience in healthcare, executive coaching, and entrepreneurship, she has transitioned from corporate leadership roles to business ownership by becoming the founder of activewear brand JumpProof.
The central theme of her speech is to highlight that women are equipped with necessary information but are constrained by their desire to make the perfect decision. She is also an author of the recently published book 'The Experiment Mindset', which will soon be launched by Wiley Publishers in 2026.
This summit will equip the participants with a concrete model which they can utilize right away for achieving success both personally and professionally.
Building on the key-note speeches, participants will attend a talk on ‘Being Boldly Visible’ delivered by Heidi Wolff, alongside a discussion panel on career lessons conducted by distinguished ladies in the community who have made it big in the business world. Organizers have come up with a fun-filled event where guests can enjoy cabaret-style seating and have their professional photographs taken.
The event is funded under the Connecting Women in Business scheme supported by the South Australian Government, and it is one of many actions taken to foster an environment that would benefit female entrepreneurs and business professionals across the state.
The participants gain insights into everything they need for the next phase of their entrepreneurial and professional journey. With a range of initiatives in the program, it hopes to boost the ability and reputation of women within the South Australian business sector.
