For the World Bank, it is not just about unlocking opportunities for women, but also recruiting women's, businessmen, leaders in trade, skills and infrastructure programs.
Similarly, Australia's new gender strategy placed women's empowerment at the center of their foreign policy, development, humanitarian and commercial agendas.
This common agenda led to two high profile collaborative projects: Southern Asia Regional Trade Facilitation Program (SartFP) and connectivity of the Southern Asia Regional Infrastructure (Saric).
Both projects are focused on research, government activities and pilot activities that expand women's participation in cross -sectional trade, entrepreneurship and skill development training.
