You have led several technological transformations over the years. What key challenges did you face during the process, and how did you overcome the roadblocks?
I’ve been in tech for 14 years, and that experience helped me lead many innovation projects.
First, building the right team is key. I always look for people who are passionate and curious about technology, not just skilled. That’s where real innovation comes from.
I also focus on balancing tech with business needs. A solution has to work for the users and support long-term goals, not just be technically perfect.
Getting people to accept change is another challenge. I try to involve them early, keep communication open, and show quick results. That usually helps build trust.
And at the start of my career, there weren’t many women in senior tech roles. I built my own support network, found mentors, and now I try to be that support for others.
In your experience, how can leaders balance client expectations and product innovation while maintaining team motivation and delivering lasting value?
In my experience, the key is to stay grounded in both the business and tech sides. I always focus on understanding the why behind client needs not just what they ask for so we can innovate with purpose and deliver real value.
Team motivation comes from involvement. I make sure the tech team is part of building the idea, not just executing it. When they understand the business context, they become more passionate and solutions become smarter.
Anyone bridging business and tech must have strong experience and adapt quickly.
Business needs evolve fast, and it’s crucial to translate those changes clearly to the tech team, this keeps delivery smooth and aligned.
I also look globally at what innovators are doing and adapt ideas that fit. Transparency with clients, empowering teams, and staying curious are what keep everything in balance.
Can you share a pivotal leadership moment when your approach to empowering your team led to a breakthrough in customer experience or loyalty solutions?
We once had an extremely tough project full of technical issues, shifting requirements, and constant pressure. For nearly a month, the entire team, including myself, worked around the clock in rotating shifts, 24/7. It reached a point where I honestly felt hopeless about keeping the project alive.
But what made the difference was how we supported each other. I kept showing up alongside my team, listened, adapted, and stayed transparent even when things got tough. I empowered them to speak up, take ownership, and solve problems creatively.
Eventually, we made it. We launched successfully and it turned out to be one of the projects I’m most grateful for and proud of. Not just because it went live, but because of the way we pulled together through adversity. That experience reminded me: when leadership is shared, and the team feels empowered, even the toughest goals become possible.
What daily leadership habits or mindsets have helped you sustain resilience and clarity while managing complex operations and continuous innovation?
I’ve always had a natural leadership mindset. Growing up as the eldest sister, I took on responsibilities early, and I genuinely enjoyed them. That carried into my career, where I lead by doing what I love, staying passionate, and always keeping an eye on the bigger picture and long-term impact.
Each day, I focus first on what truly matters, not just ticking off tasks, but making sure the work has real impact.
I stay close to my team, involve them in shaping ideas, and make sure they feel part of the journey. I’m always thinking ahead, but I also stay flexible enough to adapt when priorities shift.
I protect time to reflect, and when I leave the office, I disconnect completely so I can recharge and come back stronger. Even on the hard days, I stay grounded by remembering why I started and what we’re working toward.
What advice do you have for women aspiring to lead technology teams?
Leadership, for me, is about being confident, true to you, and creating space where everyone can shine. It’s about being smart, staying on top of things, and leading with curiosity and passion.
I believe in listening deeply and getting the best out of every team member.
Staying grounded, authentic, and driven by passion is what turns challenges into opportunities. When you lead with clarity and heart, people don’t just follow—they believe in the vision.
