Hospitality leader Jennifer Klar, Director Corporate Sustainability, Six Sense highlights sustainability as a key priority in 2025.

She says, “Major hospitality brands (in both luxury, and economy segment) have now started hiring sustainability roles to support with strategy & implementation. This step highlights the acknowledgment that the tourism industry depends on sustainable business practices: Resources are limited and expensive, preserving nature & culture are key to attract tourists to a destination and people (community and employees) are key assets in our industry.”
Jennifer believes that sustainability will continue to be a priority for hospitality brands in 2026 as well.
“Sustainability is no longer a trend but has become part of the baseline of the “new normal”. Awareness has been built, brands, owners and guests have become more knowledgeable and are more comfortable and confident talking about sustainability. We are now at a tipping point to see more action,” says Jennifer.
