The Korean Women's Football Federation has partnered with BIGC to use their event technology platform "Space" to support, promote and use various digital initiatives in the WK League. An MOU was signed on April 1, at the Olympic Parktel in Seoul.

The goal of this partnership is to help transform women's football digitally in Korea, as well as create a collaborative effort enhancing fan engagement.

The collaboration's focus is to use KWFF's content assets combined with BIGC's platform technology & service management in order to develop expanded channels for fan interaction and encourage continued participation.

The two parties plan to provide the WK League with a full suite of integrated event services and fandom services by utilizing BIGC's "Space" platform. The focus of "Space" will be as an integrated ecosystem connecting all aspects of communication, content, and commerce in one structure for the benefit of fans to engage with various activities within a single platform.

This includes services like ticketing, membership, commerce, and content. An official fan community name, "Backers," is also being contemplated to further engage and identify with users.

KWFF has made an agreement with BIGC to provide IP, content, and match-to-fan data for players and clubs, as well as provide opportunities for fan engagement at stadium-based events.

KWFF President Yang Myung-seok believes this agreement will support increased organization of women's football's digital transformation and broaden the women's football fan base by creating new experiences for diverse participation.

The selection of BIGC was made based on its previous experience developing user-based fandom platforms and operating data-driven businesses.

In addition, BIGC CEO Kim Mi-hee stated that this collaboration will allow BIGC to leverage its global service management capabilities that were previously developed for the K-Pop industry and adapt them to the sports industry.

BIGC is a global provider of an all-inclusive digital events platform offering services such as ticket sales, live commerce, fan engagement tools and analytics. BIGC claims to have over 1.4 million users from 230 countries, and have plans to expand into sports-based businesses with projects like Hot Basketball Team on SBS.
