Cartier Women's Initiative 2027 Calls Women Changemakers

By: Global Woman Leader Team | Wednesday, 27 May 2026

Twenty years after its launch, Cartier Women's Initiative, a global initiative supporting women entrepreneurs, has opened applications for its 2027 edition, inviting women-led impact businesses from around the world to apply for funding, mentorship and international networking opportunities.

Now open for applications, the 2027 edition invites women entrepreneurs to apply for its Regional Awards and the Science & Technology Pioneer Awards. The program chooses 30 fellows each year in nine regions with first, second and third place winners in each region. The awards remain in recognition and support of high-quality impact entrepreneurs who are using business as a tool for good.

Started in 2006, the program was designed on the conviction that every women impact entrepreneur is worthy of the support to realize her potential. In 20 years of work, it has supported 330 impact entrepreneurs in 66 countries with a total of $14.1 million (approx. $18 million) in funding.

Key Highlights:

  • Cartier Women's Initiative 2027 has opened applications for women entrepreneurs worldwide
  • The program offers grants up to $100,000 along with mentorship and networking support
  • Since 2006, it has backed 330 women entrepreneurs across 66 countries with $14.1 million in funding

These are just some of the reasons why the French Maison is dedicated to women. Luxury comes in the form of money, social and human capital through the Cartier Women's Initiative. The three awardees from each category will receive a grant ranging from $30,000 to $100,000 (approx. $38,000 to $128,000).

In addition to financial assistance, the initiative actively promotes women by providing them with visibility, coaching and networking opportunities through its fellowship program. Fellows gain access to human capital support, from one-to-one training, to in-person workshops (such as that by INSEAD), as well as a lifelong global community of 500+ members; a rich social capital that continues to show up and provide valuable support even after the program ends.

To ensure a fair selection process, applicants should have all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the 'Who should apply' section in their website. These include having a significant position of leadership in a for-profit business such as CEO, COO, CTO, General Manager or Managing Director, having a positive social or environmental impact and annual revenue of $50,000 to $5M (approx. $64,000 to $6.4M) and many other conditions.

Today, on the 30th anniversary of the Cartier Women's Initiative, we are continuing to build on a worldwide ecosystem that empowers women entrepreneurs to succeed with access to resources and mentorship.

The program offers not only the financial support, but also opportunities for cooperation, leadership development and international exposure. The initiative will help entrepreneurs develop solutions in areas like Sustainability, Healthcare, Education and Technology, all of which will strengthen the role of women in bringing about real social and economic transformation in the world.
