The Manchester Airports Group (MAG), the largest airport operator in the UK, has announced the appointment of Marie Joyce, an Irish resident, to the position of Chief Financial Officer.
Marie Joyce joins the MAG from NTR, a renewable energy company in Ireland where she has held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the last ten years.
She has also been a non-executive DAA director at Dublin Airport since 2020. The appointment was confirmed at the end of September. MAG manages Manchester Airport, East Midlands Airport and London Stansted Airport in Essex.
In her statement of appointment, Marie stated that she was - "delighted and excited to be joining MAG at such a pivotal moment for the group and UK aviation" - with a focus on disciplined growth, excellent passenger experience and high-performing organisations.
MAG Chief Executive Ken O'Toole stated that Marie will play a key part in making sure that investments will provide better passenger experience, are sustainable and allow for economic development at a regional and national level.
He stated that Marie's financial experience, as well as her aviation experience and experience with major infrastructure projects, will support the delivery of MAG's plans to transform and grow its business by investing £2.5 billion (€2.87 billion) in its airports over the next 5 years.
For the 12 months ending in March, MAG served 65 million passengers across its three airports, generating £1.3 billion in revenues, an 8.4 percent increase on 2024.
The group has remained investing heavily as part of a 10-year Manchester Airport transformation programme due for completion this year and will spend a further £2.5 billion across all three airports over the next five years.
