The announcement of this year's Global Beauty Awards winners brought the Business of Beauty Global Forum 2025 to a thrilling close on Tuesday night.

Hailey Bieber, the founder and creative director of Rhode, and Tracee Ellis Ross, the co-CEO and founder of Pattern Beauty, both gave motivational speeches to the audience at the farewell gala. The Global Awards jury, which was made up of leading industry figures, including Ali Goldstein of L'Oréal USA, Carolyn Bojanowski of Sephora, Robin Tsai of VMG Partners, Marianna Hewitt of Summer Fridays, and Isamaya Ffrench of Isamaya Beauty, revealed the winning brands after the keynote addresses. Imran Amed and Priya Rao from The Business of Fashion joined them.

Co-founders Andy Coxon and Ed Currie of Akt London transformed a pandemic setback into a successful company. The two concentrated on a side project that started as a backstage remark about body odor—a natural deodorant—when their West End theater careers were put on hold in 2020. Their brand, Akt (pronounced "act"), was created in Currie's kitchen and offers deodorant balms designed for high-performance settings in fashionable, plastic-free aluminum packaging with elegant scents.

Actress Molly Sims founded Yse Beauty, which took home the Business Innovation award. She founded a skincare company aimed at the underrepresented group of women in their forties after being inspired by her own battles with melasma and acne. Hero products, such as "Your Favorite Ex" exfoliating pads, combine stylish branding with clinical efficacy.

Molly has developed a devoted following through social media engagement and a well-liked podcast, among other online channels. With a new collaboration with Sephora, the already well-known brand is anticipated to grow even more.

Tendai Moyo, the founder of Ruka, took first place in the Positive Impact category. With eco-friendly, a biodegradable substitute for synthetic hair extensions, the brand is transforming textured hair care. Inspired by Moyo's experience during the pandemic, Ruka educates stylists and customers while attending to the needs of the Black hair community. With almost $10 million raised and strategic alliances like styling schools and a Selfridge’s store, Ruka is committed to ongoing innovation, particularly for women who are losing their hair.

The changing values of beauty—inclusion, genuineness, and significant transformation—are emphasized by each of these brands. In addition to honoring their accomplishments, the 2025 Global Beauty Awards highlighted the fascinating path the industry is taking.
