iSono Health, a U.S. startup, has raised investment from Czech JSK Investments Group for its ATUSA system, the world's first portable, wearable, and automated 3D breast ultrasound device.
Founded by Neda Razavi and Shadi Saberi and headquartered in South San Francisco, iSono Health is Y Combinator alum. The ATUSA system, approved by the FDA, can be used in hospitals, radiology facilities, clinics, and home settings and enables doctors to view images remotely.
Integrating automatic image acquisition with analysis, it can finish exams in approximately two minutes, aiding lesion detection and quicker diagnosis. JSK Investments, started by entrepreneur Simona Kijonkova, led the investment round.
Simona targets projects with social impact and international market potential. The support will be employed to advance the development of the ATUSA system, increase clinical validation through NIH-funded research studies, and bring the technology to scale to enable preventive breast exams to be faster and more accessible.
CEO Neda called the partnership a significant collaboration between two woman-founded companies with the mission of enhancing access to innovative breast screening technology.
