The Women Business Collaborative (WBC) has announced the Women’s Capital Summit, a two-day event focused on creating meaningful connections between women entrepreneurs and the investors, partners, and leaders who can help drive business growth. The summit aims to turn conversations around women’s access to capital into tangible investment and ownership opportunities.
Scheduled for October 6–7 in New York City, the summit will bring together women founders, institutional and individual investors, corporate executives, athletes, philanthropists, and ecosystem leaders. The event will provide a focused platform for participants to exchange ideas, explore investment opportunities, and build relationships across the capital ecosystem.
The summit will also create opportunities for founders to connect directly with potential investors and for investors to discover businesses with growth potential. At the same time, influential women will gain insights into building ownership, investing in emerging businesses, and playing a greater role in shaping the future of capital.
Key Highlights:
Entrepreneurs and business leaders from high growth brands, billion dollar companies and successful exits will be a part of the program. BuzzBallz Founder & CEO Merrilee Kick will be one of the speakers. Founders, investors, and operators that have built unicorns, scaled businesses, and created successful exits will also attend the summit.
At the summit, talks will take place on a number of topics which will be relevant to women entrepreneurs and investors. Investment readiness, founder-investor relationships, Venture debt, AI, consumer brands, healthcare, sports and ownership will all be featured as topics. Investment readiness, founder-investor relationships, venture debt, AI, consumer brands, healthcare, sports and ownership are all topics.
A highlight of the event will be the key session “From Influence to Ownership,” which will explore how influential women such as athletes, creators, executives and others can leverage their platforms, income and networks to create long-term wealth and ownership. The other session, titled “The Founder–Investor Match,” will be dedicated to what investors are seeking, as well as how founders can transition from initial meetings to due diligence and investment.
Additionally, the summit will discuss a range of financing alternatives to venture capital – such as venture debt, private credit, income-based financing, corporate partnerships, and philanthropy. Women's sports will be discussed separately and the industry's development and how it can provide new opportunities for those in the investor, entrepreneur, and athlete fold will be explored.
It is expected that approximately 150 investors and 150 women entrepreneurs will attend the event. It will reach women who are raising capital who are entrepreneurs themselves, angel investors, fund investors, owners, or strategic investors, and women who are interested in becoming investors.
"Women do not need another room where people simply acknowledge the capital gap," said Gwen Young, CEO of Women Business Collaborative. "They need access to the investors, partners, knowledge, and opportunities that close it. The Women's Capital Summit is built to create that access—and to turn powerful connections into investment, ownership, and growth."
The summit comes as efforts to increase women’s access to capital and investment opportunities continue to gain attention. Through targeted networking and discussions, the Women’s Capital Summit aims to create stronger connections between women who are raising capital and those who can invest it.
