Nine Indonesian companies are displaying their goods at the Spring Fair 2026 in Birmingham, UK, and the Ministry of Trade has assisted female entrepreneurs in entering this worldwide stage.

According to Fajarini Puntodewi, the Director General of National Export Promotion, Indonesian brands will be at the expo from February 1 through February 4.

Each of the nine firms is providing an assortment of fashion, jewelry, fabric, clothing, and home furnishing items.

The primary objectives of women-owned MSMEs at the expo are to create long-term business relationships, develop sales opportunities in Great Britain and Europe, create ways to meet international standards, and find new ways to create sustainable companies.

Moreover, Fajarini pointed out that women contribute to the economy of Indonesia by managing more than 70 percent of all MSMEs in the country.

Desra Percaya, the Indonesian Ambassador to the UK, Ireland, and the International Maritime Organization, stressed the importance of cooperation among all stakeholders to create opportunities for MSMEs in the global marketplace.

In the period from January to November of 2025, bilateral trade between Indonesia and the UK amounted to $2.41 billion, with Indonesian exports to the UK totaling $1.43 billion. Bilateral trade in 2024 totaled $2.78 billion.

Desra stressed that creating synergies between government agencies, international institutions, and other strategic partners is essential to give women-led MSMEs increased opportunities to grow and succeed in the international marketplace.

The main exports from Indonesia to the UK are iron and steel, footwear, electrical machinery, wood products, and mechanical appliances. The main imports from the UK to Indonesia are vehicles and parts, optical devices, and pharmaceuticals.
