  • The program that was financed by the government, has enabled 1,200 female students to gain knowledge through lectures.

On November 24, the‍‌‍‍‌ Korean Women Entrepreneurs Association announced that it conducted the “2025 integrated workshop for future women entrepreneurs” on the November 21, at the ICC Hotel in Daejeon. More than 700 female students and women CEOs were present at the event.

This workshop was scheduled to review the yearly results of the program for the development of future women entrepreneurs and to enhance the interaction between women CEOs and the students who took part in the ‍‌‍‍‌program.

The‍‌‍‍‌ program to nurture the next generation of women entrepreneurs is a program where women CEOs voluntarily participate as mentors to students who will become future women entrepreneurs. This event is funded by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and organized by the association.

This year, different programs were conducted for 1,200 female high school and college students from 30 schools all over the country. These programs included special lectures by women CEOs, visits to women-led companies, visits to global businesses, startup mentoring, prior art searches, and IP ‍‌‍‍‌coaching.

Specifically,‍‌‍‍‌ the “prior art search and IP coaching” for the first time this year, reviewed in advance the originality and patentability of students’ startup ideas and supported them in concretizing technology and design through expert guidance. Consequently, a total of 32 intellectual property applications, including 11 patents, 19 trademarks, and two copyrights, are underway, thus, bridging the gap between the students’ ideas and the actual acquisition of rights.

The workshop unfolded as follows starting with the opening address by Association President Park Chang-suk: sharing of project outcomes; student reflections by program special lecture by a woman leader; Challenge! Startup Golden Bell; awards for outstanding students in practical startup mentoring and scholarships; women CEOs and students ‍‌‍‍‌networking.
