  • Stuti Jalan, Founder of WIN, emphasized the increasing power of women leaders at Davos
  • WIN marked the end of the second edition of its #WINLounge at the World Economic Forum in Davos
  • The event saw the presence of global leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs

Stuti Jalan, founder of The Women Inspiring Network (WIN) reflected on the success of the second edition of the #WINLounge as part of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos and the increased presence of women leaders from India and around the globe to co-create and co-design future-focused and collaborative solutions.

There were over 75 speakers from 15+ countries and 30 different industries representing various types (panel discussions, fireside chats, podcasts) discussing topical issues such as AI, climate change, wealth creation, geopolitics, health care, and future capital at WIN.

Two sessions on Indian themes were held at WIN to promote trade, investment, and tourism with Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

WIN's purpose was to elevate and create an environment for Indian women leaders to be recognised as key decision-makers in global society and Smriti Irani delivered a major address regarding the importance of men and women working together towards gender equity as a driver of sustainable economic development in the future alongside many business owners and politicians from MNCs and Indian companies.

The WIN Lounge was not just about networking but also having meaningful discussions about how women can lead the charge in developing these new forms of capital and entrepreneurship as the world transitions to a fully digital economy and how women can lead in the transformation of industries and sectors through the use of new technologies and resulting digital change.

Storytelling as a tool to help drive philanthropic support and to assist with creating global partnerships in an effort to accelerate global development was also discussed.

WIN’s participation in the Davos meetings reinforced how critical women’s leadership continues to grow as the leaders of our global agenda.

Over the next few years, WIN will continue to build on this by developing long-term partnerships that create new avenues for mentoring, investment, and innovation.

WIN was founded during a global pandemic, and since that time has turned into a Global Network with numerous engagements, including leadership dialogues, youth engagement and awareness-raising campaigns.

WIN continues to purposefully attend global events to advance the incorporation of diverse leadership voices into global decision-making processes.
