Girl Scouts of Connecticut will welcome high school participants to Quinnipiac University in Hamden for Camp CEQ from July 21-25, in an intensive program designed to stimulate real-world college and organizational environments.  This year’s theme ‘Green beyond Money: Creating Sustainable Business,”, emphasizes long-term value creation through environmental and social impact.

The program offers attendees a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in collegiate living, participate in academic sessions with business faculty, and receive mentorship form high-level female professionals representing various sectors state-wide. Students teams will engage in strategic brainstorming and business development, ultimately presenting their final pitches to senior executives and corporate leaders in a high-stakes setting at the end of the week.

The initiative invites high school Girl Scouts (grades 9-12) to participate in a dynamic, team-based business experience. Students will engage in project-based learning led by QU professors and the Business College Dean over four intensive days.

“Part of our mission at Girl Scouts of Connecticut is to help our members build solid business skills and to guide them to become our future women leaders of tomorrow,” said Elicia Pegues Spearman, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Connecticut. “Our Girl Scout attendees will work with inspiring business professors to explore how modern companies blend success with sustainability, values, and impact.” She also highlighted that the participants will reside in the campus dorms, helping them build interpersonal skills strengthening their teamwork capabilities in a real-world environment.

Elicia Pegues affirms, “We take great pride in our collaboration with Quinnipiac University, which brings this immersive business learning experience to life each year. Beyond the engaging setting, every attendee leaves with tangible leadership capabilities, new connections, and a sense of achievement through their custom Camp CEO patch.”
